As the closing credits roll, Christine and Monique have successfully escaped, and she has been able to save the lives of two of her fellow American prisoners. As she and Monique make their way to their plane, a P.A.N.S. fighter buzzes their little craft. They realize that the fighter just wanted to scare them, and escape unscathed. They return to base, and Christine finds that her friends are back from their POW experience with exciting stories to tell. They also tell Christine that they have agreed to help her reach Israel, but only if she will agree to return to the US. She refuses to return as long as war still rages overseas. The story ends with a strong message to America: We could have had a brave hero, who is now alive and free...but we'd rather have an armed military force that doesn't want peace.
Then there's the Turkish Colonel. While he has no love lost for America, he's also sick to death of America's own version of the Syrian Syrian civil war. And the P.A.N.S. commander is evil on a level that makes the Joker seem like a choir boy. He's the stereotypical fascist leader who hates everything American.
There are many ways to die in a movie: being shot, being blown up, being beheaded, falling off a cliff, jumping off a cliff. But the ultimate way is for the bad guy to shoot you. Of course, in real life, that would be murder. But in a movie, that is fine, because there is no law against it. In fact, the classic film The Godfather is all about this very thing: the big family business is mob-related, and Sonny (the Corleone heir) shoots the rival Don for the family's protection. Sure, he was an adulterer and a corrupt politician (he was a senior member of the legislature), but he was still the Don. And therefore, he was shot, and possibly killed.
Peer Group Questions – Think about the size of the private equity firm and the industry you are applying to. How did the firm decide to go with that size? Can you think of a situation where a firm would consider a different size? What kind of questions would you ask to determine whether a particular size or industry is right for you?
To decide which one should you opt for, one needs to look at the business as a whole. Doing so will give a better understanding of how the business functions, how profitable it is, how the management team is doing and what problems it might face in the future. It also helps to determine if there are any other reasons as to why you should or shouldn’t be interested in the company. Companies with a higher ROE are considered more attractive as well as have a higher Return on invested capital (ROIC). This helps determine if you need to invest in the company. 827ec27edc
