Dell Inspiron N5010 Windows 7 Recovery Disk Iso

I have an Inspiron 15r N5110 on which the hard disk seems to have failed. I have purchased an SSD of the same size etc and want to install it but wonder how I can get a copy of the windows recovery disk for Windows 7 for this machine? I seem to have mislaid the one I had.

You will need the Windows 7 DVD that came with the SSD. If you did not have the DVD, then yes you will need the Recovery Disk, if you do not have it, go to this web site: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/downloads/windows-7/windows-7-dvd-recovery. You will need to download the ISO file and burn it to a DVD.

Thanks for that, that seems reasonable, The main problem is that I do not have the DVD, I have lost it! To save myself time, is it worth buying a copy of windows 7 for my machine, I have a friend that I could ask to burn it for me, but I wonder if I can get a copy of the recovery disk?

It would be easier to just invest in a replacement drive, but I have just had a really bad experience with a computer I bought.

So I am thinking that, although I would prefer to use the SSD I have purchased, I will have to purchase a HDD from Dell specific to this computer. However before I do so am I right in thinking that if I purchase it from Dell it will have windows 7 and the appropriate drivers for my computer so that I won't need a recovery disk? I am loathe to buy a second item that i can't use!
