Edith later wrote that on the night of the wreck, she and some other children were sitting on the ship's rail, watching the water pour into the ship, when one of the children saw a little pig going in the water, perhaps the one she had played with. She looked over the rail and watched it disappear. She went to see if it had been taken to the lifeboat.

The Titanic sank on her maiden voyage on April 14, 1912, less than two months after her launch at the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland. Of the 2,200 persons who boarded the ship, more than 1,500 perished in the disaster. Edith was rescued from the icy waters at 2:20 a.m. on April 15, 1912, and taken to the hospital on the ship.

In the process of removing passengers from the boat, probably while it was still docked at the forward end of the ship, someone had overlooked Edith’s little music box. It was soon spotted and returned to her by one of the men in the lifeboat. She also received some clothing, a blanket and a package of sandwiches.

The rest of the passengers were not so lucky. The rescue of the women and children was the first priority, as the men could be saved later. In fact, there would be more men than women rescued, as Edith discovered when she attended the inquiry about a decade later.[29]

Ismay was previously married to a woman named Gwyer, and Edith was the only woman passenger to whom he spoke. According to Edith, Ismay even had a little heart to heart with her, asking her where she was from and saying he would like to know her because she was the only one of the women who had spoken to him. Hi Dave,I was able to get my English Indesign CS6 to switch to German. But there is one Problem. The moment I startet Indesign there is the error message that my trial version ends soon altough I bougt a regular Version with correct serial number by an adobe seller. Can anybody help me? 827ec27edc
