On July 11, 2001, Yura, appearing on the U.S. TV program Word Up!, said that he had over a hundred guest appearances on his Myspace page, commenting that the page was intended as a way for people to find out more about him and that he is also planning to release his first studio album in August. On August 13, 2001, the group released their third studio album Get to Know!. The album combined various styles with a mixture of English and Japanese lyrics. The songs featured on the album were composed by the band, and the lyrics were usually written by frontman Kōji Yusa . The album also contained a cover of the song Samba de Amor by the Brazilian singer Caetano Veloso. It was the only album to feature a guest appearance by another Japanese musician: bassist Takahiro Miyazawa of the band Cherry Blossoms plays the bass on five of the seven songs on the album. On October 13, 2001, the group released the single Get a Life. The song was a moderate hit, peaking at #9 on the Oricon chart. The song contains a sample from the 1970 song These Days by the American band The Tremeloes.
